Chinese food is a very unique from any other type of cuisine in the world. The most recognizable food from China comes from the Western region, in the Szechwan and Hunan provinces. In these regions, there is an abundance of rice and mushrooms, along with citrus fruits and bamboo. Many varieties of spices and chiles are grown here, so it certainly makes an impact the dishes made. While most people claim the spices are just for flavoring, some argue that they are used to mask the taste of foods that rot quickly in the hot sun.
